Cheerful sofa throws, quilts and blankets to see you through this winter

There are a few things synonymous with this time of year, when the leaves turn gold and the days get shorter. Hot chocolates, Sunday roasts, our winter coats making their first appearance of the year and film nights becoming much more appealing than evenings out.

As these changes happen outside, they might provoke you to make some changes inside your house, too. Changes that will make things a little more cosy. Some might be small, like lighting a lovely scented candle, and some may be larger, such as buying a sofa bed in preparation for the guests who tend to start arriving, unannounced, at this time of year. But regardless of which you do, you are sure to feel much cosier and ready to snuggle down all evening long.

One of our favourite ways to do this is to purchase some lovely new cushions and sofa throws, as these have a transformative power over the room that should not be overlooked. In the living room, draping a knitted throw or throw blanket over the back of the sofa is a lovely way to add some decoration and freshen up the space. In the bedroom, a bed throw or bedspread will help keep the chill away whilst looking lovely.
